The Blitz
The Blitz began about 18 years ago thanks to youth in the church. They had gone to Mission Camp at Laurel Ridge Moravian Camp in the mountains of North Carolina, and came home asking why they weren’t doing the same kind of service work for people in their hometown.
Paula Hall, church member and director of the King Senior Center, shared, “The first year, our church did it on our own, but the second year, more churches joined us.”[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][dt_fancy_image image_id=”7046″ width=””][/vc_column][vc_column][vc_column_text]Local agencies send referrals to King Moravian; these range from pressure-washing to painting to bathroom renovations, wheelchair ramp construction, and more.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]

Rachael Butts, King’s Director of Christian Education, shared that the volunteers received smiles, gratitude, and kindness from people who they otherwise would probably never meet.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column][vc_column_text]
