THROUGH GRANTS

At the Moravian Ministries Foundation, we are dedicated to fostering vibrant and impactful ministries. Our grant programs are designed to support projects that address critical needs within the communities served by Moravians and are funded by generous contributions and a portion of MMFA’s annual net income.

Grant Opportunities

Each MMFA Grant Fund targets specific community needs, ensuring that aid reaches the most vulnerable and impactful initiatives. The goal of these funds is to help Moravian congregations, fellowships, emerging ministries, and agencies answer the call to care for those most in need, including the environment we all share together.

Several of our grant funds are inspired by select verses written in Matthew 25, 34-40:

³⁴Then the king will say to those at his right hand, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world, ³⁵for I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink (Hunger & Thirst Fund), I was a stranger and you welcomed me (Housing & Shelter Fund,) ³⁶I was naked and you gave me clothing (Clothing Fund), I was sick and you took care of me (Healing & Health Fund), I was in prison and you visited me (Prison Ministry Fund).’ ³⁷Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when was it that we saw you hungry and gave you food or thirsty and gave you something to drink? ³⁸And when was it that we saw you a stranger and welcomed you or naked and gave you clothing? ³⁹And when was it that we saw you sick or in prison and visited you?’ ⁴⁰And the king will answer them, ‘Truly I tell you, just as you did it to one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did it to me.’
